Get Involved
At Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, we believe church is about more than simply attending a service—it’s about loving people, serving our community, and walking through life together. Each month, we offer two special opportunities for you to get involved and make a difference.
Food Ministry — 2nd Saturday of Each Month
On the second Saturday of every month, our Food Ministry comes together to prepare and distribute food boxes to families in need throughout our community.
Each month, we typically serve more than 100 families, providing boxes filled with food while also offering encouragement, kindness, and the love of Christ.
There are many ways to help—from collecting and organizing food to packing boxes and assisting with distribution. Whether you can give your time, donate food, or simply lend a helping hand, there is a place for you to serve.
Hope, Faith & Healing —
Life can be difficult, and no one should have to walk through those difficult seasons alone.
On the third Tuesday of every month, we host Hope, Faith & Healing, a caring and supportive gathering for anyone facing struggles, hardships, hurts, or challenges in life.
This is a safe and welcoming group of people who come together to listen, encourage, pray, support one another, and remind each other that there is always hope in Christ.
You don't have to have everything figured out, and you don't have to face life alone. Come as you are—you are welcome here.
Whether you are looking for an opportunity to serve others or a place where you can find encouragement and support, we would love for you to become involved in the ministries of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church.
There’s a place for you here.
